Welcome to Body & Soul Therapeutic Massage. I always find it intriguing to learn how we come to find the love of our career life. Here is the story of how massage therapy has become my life's work and passion.
How do we come to know what it is we are destined to do with our lives? I had always wanted to be where I could serve people in a health capacity. Not sticking with the traditional health roles I went to the corporate world to sort it all out and make a living.
Due to much downsizing and uncertainty in the corporate world the decision to leave was made. The gift of massage was the beginning of my journey into massage therapy. Upon scheduling and discussing what to expect I found myself filled with anticipation and wondering how one could possibly experience all that was toted.
The day came and the experience left me hungry for more. I knew I had found my calling. What a wonderful career to have… providing people from all walks of life with time to go where they could experience the peace and healing of bodywork. Where preventive work and therapeutic work for injuries could be addressed. Where you can actively learn and participate in reaching and maintaining your health.
I received my diploma for basic training in December 1999. Since then I have completed training for additional techniques and am excited and anticipating a new seminar in the not too distant future. If you click on the Services & Pricing section, all techniques with a year to the rightmost of their title denotes the year that the additional training was completed for your information.
There is a lifetime of learning in the field of bodywork and as long as I am able to provide you with my best work I will continue to offer you their benefits.
